Michael E O'Cain

Michael E. O'Cain, 54 of Cordova passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 peacefully surrounded by his family at Palmetto Richland in Columbia.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. Nick Fox officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Craven, Troy Cain, John Montgomery, Chuck Fogle and all Employees of Edisto Drive Piggly Wiggly.

He was born May 16, 1961 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of Patricia Benton O'Cain and the late Glenn Howard O'Cain, Sr. He was the Assistant Manager of Edisto Drive Piggly Wiggly. He was an avid golfer, he loved to fish and loved spending time with his sons.

Survivors include 2 sons; Michael "Tony" O'Cain and Kayla Shieder of Orangeburg; Mark and Charlene O'Cain of Orangeburg and the sons Mother; Amanda Dukes O'Cain of Orangeburg; granddaughter; Madalynn Grace O'Cain of Orangeburg; his Mother; Patricia Benton O'Cain of Orangeburg; a special friend; June Epps Hanna of Cope; 2 brothers; Glenn Howard O'Cain, Jr. of Orangeburg; Russell Lee and Sherry O'Cain of Cordova; 2 nieces; Jessica Fralick Hardison and Frances "Fran" Jackson both of Cordova.

Friends may call at the residence of Mark and Charlene O'Cain; 1165 Uncle Bud Road; Orangeburg and at the funeral home.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to Second Chance of Animal Rescue Coalition; C/O Julie Fersner; 520 Till Road; Orangeburg, SC 29115 or to the Cordova Volunteer Fire Department of the Four Holes Volunteer Fire Department.
