Mike M. Fairey

Mike M. Fairey, a cherished family man, passed away on December 26, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 17, 1951, Mike dedicated his life to both his family and his business, establishing himself as the owner and operator of Quick Mart and Fairey Party Shop in St. Matthews until his retirement. 

Mike was a man of many passions. He took great joy in spending time with his family, affectionately referred to as "Grampy" by his grandchildren, which reflects the warmth and love he showed to those closest to him. He had a zest for life that was evident through his hobbies and interests; an avid golfer and a fervent supporter of Clemson Tiger Football, he embraced every opportunity to pursue these joys.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan Gramling (Jason); son, Michael Fairey; stepdaughters, Renee' Jeffcoat (Todd) and Hope Joyner (Jimmy); grandchildren, James Gramling, Christie Gramling, Michael "Robee" Fairey, Jr., Cody Fairey, Alyssa "Bella" Fairey, Courtnee Sanders, Gene Sanders, Victoria Jeffcoat, Trey Joyner (Jessica), Hannah Ehrhardt (Justin); great-grandchildren, Alexander Gramling, Raelyn Sanders, Cameron Sanders, Easton Ehrhardt, Leyton Joyner and Natalie Joyner; and brothers, Jimmy Fairey (Judy) and David Fairey (Diane), along with a number of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will hold him dearly in their hearts.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, J. Clyde and Louise Berry Fairey; his beloved wife, Patsy Fairey; and brothers, Marion Fairey and William "Bill" Fairey. 

A time of interment will be held at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg, South Carolina, on January 2, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM. Mike's life was a testament to the strength of family and community, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
