Mildred Kittrell Carrigg, 83, of Cope passed away at home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at Canaan Baptist Church in Cope, S.C. Rev. Alan Woodward will be officiating. She was born October 14, 1932 in Bamberg County, SC; the daughter of the late Isaac Joshua Kittrell and the late Florrie Myers Kittrell. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Charles Henry Carrigg and was preceded in death by a son; Terry Lewis Carrigg.
Survivors include 1 daughter; Charlotte C. Prater of Lexington; 2 grandchildren; Brian Michael Prater and Stephanie Belinda Prater; 1 brother; Solomon Kittrell; 1 sister-in-law; Bernice Kittrell and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association; 2711 Middleburg Drive; Columbia, SC 29204 or to the American Cancer Society; 128 Stonemark Lane; Columbia, SC 29210.
