Miriam Binnicker Binnicker , 92, of 1184 Gloria Street; Orangeburg, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Jolley Acres Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg. Rev. Walter Gleaton will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. George Baptist Church in Orangeburg. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Grandsons-in-law.
She was born on July 6, 1924 in Branchville, SC. She was the daughter of the late John Hooker Binnicker and the late Ollie Virginia Garrick Binnicker. Mrs. Binnicker was a member of Cornerstone Church of God. She was the widow of the late James C. Binnicker and was preceded in death by her son; John Wayne Binnicker; a grandson; James Edward “Eddie” Binnicker; 4 sisters; Idelle Bozard, Myrtis Fogle, Winnie Brickle and Virginia Hughes and 3 brothers; Raymond Binnicker, ,Horace Binnicker and J.C. Binnicker.
Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Hope and Robert Smoak of Orangeburg; Wanda and David Simpson of Rock Hill; a daughter in law; Brenda Binnicker of St. Matthews; 6 grandchildren; Brandi Davis of Patrick, SC; Wesley Smoak of Orangeburg; Jon Binnicker of Elloree; Amanda Farman of St. Matthews; Eric Simpson of Terreon, New Mexico and Keri and Clint Wallace of Rock Hill and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call her residence; 1184 Gloria Street; Orangeburg, S.C. and at the funeral home.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
