Miriam Elizabeth "Betty" Page Barber, 89, died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the residence of her daughter, after an extended illness.
The Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Orangeburg Lutheran Church. Pastor Gary White is in charge of the service.
Mrs. Barber was born Dec. 1, 1924 in Columbia, a daughter of the late William Paul Page and the late Margaret Louise Felkel Page. She was a member of the Orangeburg Lutheran Church. She was retired from Ambler Industries, widow of the late James William Barber, Jr. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Edisto Shrine Club, where she served in several leadership roles. Preceded in death a sister, Sissy Barber.
Mrs. Barber is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Carol (Jim) Pratt of Cameron, Mrs. Jackie (Perry) Smith of Charleston, Mrs. Brenda (Mike) Whitaker of Simpsonville, and Mrs. Jamie (Craig) Cardwell of Rockwall, Texas; six grandchildren; Mrs. Kelly (Chad) Rast of Cameron, Kip (Grae) Pratt of Moncks Corner, Gabe (Kathryn) Whitaker of Mt. Pleasant, Rachel (Damir) Nozinovic of Wylie, Texas, Jimmy (Christine) Inabinet of John's Island, and Beth Inabinet of Charleston; 8 great grandchildren; Courtney and Clayton Kittrell, Austin Rast, Mary and Jackson Pratt, Hannah and Cape Whitaker, and Alex Nozinovic; one sister; Doris McCabe of Coloumbia and one brother; Billy Page of Irmo and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the residence of Carol and Jim Pratt in Cameron, SC
Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
