Miriam Judy Kennemore, 86 of The Methodist Oaks died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 Sunday, July 12, 2015 at The Stringer Chapel of the Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg with Rev. Ryan Tucker. directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg The family will receive friends after the service at the Stringer Chapel.
She was born July 19, 1928 in Cope, SC; the daughter of the late Jessie Jerome Judy and the late Allie Sanford Judy. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Orangeburg and the Dorcas Sunday School Class at First Baptist; she actively participated in all aspects of church life, loved to socialize with many friends especially around the Bridge Table. She wanted most to be remembered as a loving Mother and Grandmother and a sinner Saved by Grace. She was retired with 38 years of service from A T and T; a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was the widow of the late William "Bill" Kennemore and was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Survivors include 2 sons; Michael Jerome (Lisa) Kennemore of Kennesaw, GA and Mark (Martha) Kennemore of Orangeburg; 1 daughter; Ruth Ann Kennemore of Columbia; 5 grandchildren; Ashley Sullivan, Brandon Darrow, Joshua Miller, Brandon Miller and William Kennemore;1 great grandson; Aiden Darrow and a number of special cousins and nieces and nephews; a special niece; Nancy Garrick Turner and a special friend; Lorriane Griffis of Orangeburg.
Friends may call at the residence of Mark and Martha Kennemore; 3896 Oxford Drive, Orangeburg.
