Modelle Wilson Fogle

Mrs. Modelle Wilson Fogle, 98, of Neeses, SC passed away peacefully at home with her three sons by her side on Tuesday, November 24, 2015

The family will have a visitation on Thursday, November 26, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., in Orangeburg.

Services will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 594 Calvary Church Rd., Neeses, SC with Rev. Benjamin Smoak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Fogle, her sons Manning Fogle Jr., Coker Fogle and James Fogle, and grandsons, David Fogle, Rusty Fogle, Ryan Fogle and Brandon Fogle. Honoary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Fogle was born February 24, 1917 and was the daughter of the late Grover Osdell Wilson and Nellie Hughes Wilson. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Neeses, SC, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, wrote a weekly newsletter for the North Trade Journal and served in many other capacities over the years. She lived her life in firm Christian servitude, instilled sound Christian beliefs in her family, and shared her Faith openly with others. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She was a talented seamstress and a great story teller. Mrs. Fogle was formerly employed at Stone Manufacturing in North, SC.

Mrs. Fogle is survived by three sons, Manning, Jr. (Buster) and Maggie Fogle of Orangeburg, SC, Coker and Margaret Ann Fogle of Norway, SC and James and Sandra Fogle of Hilda, SC, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Manning Fogle, Sr., a daughter, Shelby Garrick Lemmons of Aiken, a son, L.O. Fogle of Elgin, SC and brothers, Woodrow O. Wilson and George W. Wilson and sisters, Christie Mae Hutto and Lois Schnelle. She also leaves behind a very special and devoted friend, Rosebud Young Migliaro of Neeses, SC.

The family wishes to acknowledge and express appreciation to Mrs. Fogle's longtime friend and caregiver, Barbara Fanning of Neeses, and other devoted caregivers, Kathy Garrick, Kim Sweigart Mellinger, Jackie Tindall and the late Annie Rose Fogle, and to the employees of Grove Park Hospice in Orangeburg, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Sound System Fund, Post Office Box 88, Neeses, SC 29107.
