at her residence .
Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday,
February 17, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home
Chapel in Orangeburg with burial at West End
Cemetery in St. Matthews with Pastor Ronald G. Spires
officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jay Spires, Charlie Headden, Jr.,
Frankie Headden, Ronnie Rucker,
Matthew Rucker and Austin Strickland .
She was born August 10, 1938 in Lexington, SC; the daughter
of the late Benjamin McMichael and the late Alma Peele
McMichael. She was retired from Roper. She was preceded
in death by her husband; Jim B. Spires and a son; Anthony J. Spires.
SURVIVORS include her children; Ronald T. Spires, Steven
C. Spires, Linda K. Crosby, Joseph C. Spires; her stepchildren;
Diane (Gene Ray) Rucker; Brenda (Jimmy Lee) Mitchell,
Jimmy Spires; grandchildren; Ronald G. Spires, Jay B. Spires,
Shannon Spires, Steven Spires, Nancy Spires, Amanda Dutton,
Ashley Spires, Jamie Spires, Tabitha Freedman, Robbie Crosby
and Nicki Crosby.
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE funeral home.
VISITATION WILL BE HELD 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday, February
17, 2014 before the service.
