Natalie Tarzon

Natalie Kristina Tarzon, 94, died Sunday, November 27, in Orangeburg, from complications from pneumonia. A service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, December 3rd at Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 1012 Whitman Street SE, Orangeburg. Burial will be at Flagler Memorial Park in Miami, FL, at a later date. Natalie was born March 9, 1923 in Miami, FL and spent her teen years in Brockton, MA in the summer, with her extended family that emigrated from Sweden in 1905. Natalie graduated from Duke University with a Master’s degree in teaching romance languages. Her early professional life was spent in the countries of Japan and Panama, and later in the states of Virginia, Florida and South Carolina.
Natalie is survived by her son, Frank, cousin Hjordis, in Boras, Sweden, sister-in-law Dorothy Johnson, nieces Susan (Smith) and Wendy Johnson, Pam Morris, and nephews Eric and Mark Johnson. Please sign the family’s online guest book at www.thompsonfh.net.
