Nell K. Huiett , 76 of  Orangeburg died Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Orangeburg.

Funeral Services will be held  2:30 PM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel Orangeburg  with burial will be held at  Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg  with  Pastor Allan Woodward officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Edwards, Tony Mesty, Wayne Hughes, Newton Wannamaker, Derrick Howle  and Calvin Parker.

She was born April 26, 1941 in Orangeburg, SC; the daughter of the late Eugene Kemmerlin, Sr. and the late Gussie Cherry Kemmerlin. She was a SC State Marble Champion in the 70’s; a member of the Orangeburg Shag Club. She loved taking cruises and spending time with her family and friends. She was retired from Sunbeam Bakery. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lee Adicks, and by 5 brothers; Eugene Kemmerlin, Jr., half-brother, Mike Kemmerlin, Danny Smoak, Jerome Smoak and Kenny Smoak.

Survivors  include 2 sons; James R. and MeeNu Shukla Dennis of Orangeburg; Todd A. and Tammy Huiett of Winnsboro; 3 sisters; Lou Esther Browning of Elloree, Peggie Halter of Orangeburg; Nancy New of Cope, Louise Berry of Orangeburg and  Betty Vandervort of Orangeburg and a step brother; Thomas E. Johnson, Sr.;  step grandchildren, Dwayne (Sammy) Dutton, Michelle Dutton and a great grandchild; Trey Dutton and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held  6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. In Orangeburg.
