Norma Ellen (Hooker) Russell

Norma Ellen Russell, 74, of Gaston passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street.  Pastor Clinton Crummie will be officiating.  Burial will follow at Platt Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Crim, Shawn Givens, Dennis Knight, Chad Russell, Fred Russell and Tyson Russell.

Mrs. Norma was born on September 16, 1946 in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late Haskell Hooker and the late Elma Hooker.  She was predeceased by a sister, Juanita Sweat.

Survivors include her children, Ronnie “Rona” D. Russell; Ted N. Russell, Ellen M. Crim (Ronald), Donald T. Russell; seven grandchildren, Tara, Tyson, Brittany, Cheyenne, Chad, Jacob, Angel; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Marty Hooker and a number of nieces and nephews.
