Oscar Everlee Fields, 84, passed away at the Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc.  Burial will follow at Edisto Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Richard Ehrhardt will be officiating.

Mr. Fields was born on May 20, 1932 in Orangeburg County.  He was the son of the late Johnny Fields and the late Dorindie Syphrett Fields.  Mr. Fields was a member of the United States Army.  He was a veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of Edisto Baptist Church in Cope.

Survivors  include his wife, Dorothy Jackson Fields of Neeses; daughters, Deborah Bolin (John) of Neeses, Jane Hutto of North and Joy Peterson (Kenneth-Pete) of Camden; son Irvin Steven Fields (Barbara) of Cordova; brother, Emmette Fields (Maggie) of Cameron; 5 grandchildren, Andy Bolin (Jodie) of Orangeburg, Wesley Hutto (Taylor) of North, Cody Hutto of Clemson, Bethany Peterson and Timothy Peterson both of Camden; 3 great-grandchildren, Wyatt Bolin and Waylon Bolin both of Orangeburg and Bryson Hutto of North.

Friends may call at the residence.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home in Orangeburg.
