Oscar Ott, Jr. “O.E.” , 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Aaron Abreu will be officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Hughes, Beaty Hughes, Danny Stillinger, Alex Ott, Lonnie Estes
Mr. Ott was born on July 6, 1931 in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of the late Owen Earl Ott and the late Geneva Murphy Ott. He was the owner of Ott’s Market and Ott’s Mobile Home Movers. Mr. Ott was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. He loved feeding his animals and visiting with his family. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jean Fogle Ott, his brother, Warren Earl Ott, sister, Lois Brickle and a great grandson Ethan McClary.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Deborah Ott Estes (Lonnie) of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Pamela Ott Kinard of Rowesville; son, Oscar Troy Ott (Pamela) of Columbia; 6 grandchildren, John Kelly Hughes of Orangeburg, Shauna Estes Taylor (Adam) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Lacey McClary (Coley) of Kingstree, Austin Kinard of Orangeburg, Michaela Ott of Columbia and Alex Ott of Columbia; great grandchildren, Grace Jean Taylor of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Beaty Hughes of Orangeburg, Bryce McClary of Kingstree, Harper McClary of Kingstree and Mason Green of Rowesville; sisters, Nell O. Fogle of Cope, Mary Mack (Truett) of Cope; brother, Nesbeth M. Ott (Sarah) of Cope and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Gospel Light Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
