Paul David Metts

Paul David Metts, 68, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 23, 2025, at Lexington Memorial Hospital.

He was born on November 24, 1956, in Orangeburg, S.C. to the late Paul Howard Metts and Mildred Nettles Metts.

A devoted father and family man, David is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Louise (Dale); sons, Jessie (Jon), James (Shannon), daughter-in-law, Sheinna; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

His life was shaped by the memory of those who preceded him in death, including his parents, his sister, Linda, and his son, Allen.  Throughout his life he remained rooted in South Carolina, where he built lasting memories with those around him.  Known to many by his nickname, “DAP”, he leaves behind a legacy of resilience and a presence that will be missed by all who knew him.
