Paul Connor Tyler

Paul Connor Tyler, 82 of Orangeburg, S.C. died at the Oaks in Orangeburg, S.C. on 12/21/14. The casket will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to the service.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Four Holes Baptist Church in Orangeburg, S.C. with burial at Four Holes Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Parnell and the Rev. Tom McAlhaney will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Tyler, Kenneth Tyler, Mark Mizzell, Bill Fogle, James Hunter, Tim Vaughn. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult 5 Sunday School Class of Four Holes Baptist Church

Mr. Tyler was born on August 26, 1932 in Orangeburg, S.C. He was the son of the late Frank Owen Tyler and the late Rachel Micah Livingston Tyler. He retired after 22 years in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army as a Warrant Officer. He was also retired from General Electric and the Department of Defense. Mr. Tyler was a member of Four Holes Baptist Church and the Adult 5 Sunday School Class of Four Holes Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Progressive Masonic Lodge in Orangeburg, S.C. He was pre-deceased by his parents, brothers Mike Tyler and Richard Tyler; sister Mildred Mizzell and a nephew Joe Mizzell.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Doris Hunter Tyler; a daughter Vickie (Levern) Tyler Davis; a son Frank (Carol) Tyler; grandchildren, Sharon (Wesley) Marsh, Sandi (Sam) Freeman, Justin Tyler, Courtney (Michael) Pitts, Lindsey Tyler, Javan Vaughn and Marty Epps; great grandchildren, Ragan and Riley Reynolds, Tanner and Spencer Johnson, Emily Addy, Dylan Epps, Evan and Kendra Vaughn and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence and at Thompson Funeral Home of Orangeburg, S.C.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Four Holes Baptist Church
