Peggy Jean Berry Jumper, 80 of Orangeburg died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Dr. Shane Stutzman and Rev. Jim Parnell officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
She was born January 9, 1935 in Orangeburg, SC; the daughter of the late Joe J. Berry and the late Lenah Hughes Berry. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a member of the Cornerstone Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church and served on several committees. She was faithful to her church until her health declined. She was loved by a lot of people and she loved her dog Zeus. She was preceded in death by a brother, McAdoo Berry.
Survivors include her husband, Edsel Jumper of Orangeburg; 2 sons; Eddie and Karen Jumper of Gaston; Stephen Jumper of Orangeburg; 3 grand-daughters; Marykate Jumper, Kathleen and J.C. Davis and Lauren Jumper; 1 great granddaughter; M.C. Kayla Tyler and a loving pet, Zeus.
Friends may call at her residence and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
