Peggy Whetstone Williams, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025, after an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held t 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton St, Orangeburg. Rev. Larry Williams and Pastor Hoke Robinson will be officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eric Miller, Patrick Miller, Josh Williams, Tommy Williams, Gerald Martin and Dean Sandifer.
Mrs. Peggy was born on July 11, 1952, in Orangeburg, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Colie Whetstone and the late Effie Hughes Whetstone. She worked for many years as a receptionist with Orangeburg Eye Center until her retirement. She was a member of Memorial Church of the Nazarene in Orangeburg. Mrs. Peggy enjoyed playing the organ and sharing the love of Jesus with her husband.
Survivors include her children, Jamey (Jill) Williams, Sandy (Eric) Miller; grandchildren, Josh (Christina) Williams, Jacy Williams, Patrick Miller; three great-grandchildren; brother, Billy (Elaine) Whetstone; sister, Patricia (Tommy) Gibson and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. Billy Williams, a sister, JoAnne Gray and a brother, Freddy Whetstone.
