Peggy Jean (Williams) Garrick

Peggy Jean Garrick, 68, of Orangeburg passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 15, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Rd, Orangeburg.  Captain Kellie Cantrell will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Neal Nettles, Curtis Whisenhunt, David Dannelly, Heyward Corbett, Nicholas Rush and Brian Bradford.

Mrs. Garrick was born on September 9, 1952, in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late Earl Williams and the late Lurine Beason Williams.  She enjoyed watching Joel Osteen and working on puzzle books.  Mrs. Garrick loved her family and her cats.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Garrick and a brother, Jimmy Williams.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra Nettles (Vernon), Emily Wood (Israel), Elizabeth “Betty Jo” Gray (Johnathan); son, Leroy Garrick, Jr. (Kristie); eleven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Williams; sister, Shelby Wood and a number of nieces and nephews.
