Philip Walter Fields, 53, of Neeses, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 after an extended illness.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at St. George Church of God Cemetery, 326 Quaker Rd. St. George.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be the members of the West Middle Fire Department, S.T.A.R. Team and the Orangeburg County EMS.
Philip was born on February 14, 1970 in Bamberg, S.C. He was the son of the late Freddie Fields and the late Jacqueline Shirey Fields. He was a member of the Pine Hill Indian Tribe, the First People of Fort Jackson, West Middle Fire Department, Orangeburg County EMS, Bamberg Rescue Squad, Branchville Rescue Squad, and S.T.A.R Team. He was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Kristin Greene and a. Niece Tabitha Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Fields, sons, Jonathan Fields, Adam Fields; daughter, Abigail Fields; step-sons, Joshua Fulmer, Christopher Fulmer; grandchildren, Phillip Fields, Skylar Howard; brother, Freddie M. Fields (Celeste); sister, Lynnita Valladorid (Ramon); nieces, Socorro “Cori” Valladorid; Crystal Mucklevaney, Melanie Creel, Cheree Creel, Haley Ridgeway; nephews, Breeze Fields, Brent Ridgeway, Cody Braxton, and mother-in-law, Linda Webber.
