Rallie Melton Morris,75 2870 Windmill Way; Orangeburg died Monday January 27, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 31, 2014 at Rivelon Baptist Church with burial at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg with Rev. Kevin Ard officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Pallbearers will be Mark Morris, Ricky McGugan, David Bair, Wayne DeWitt, Larry Myers and David Bair.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Adult II Sunday School Class.
He was born February 18, 1938 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Rallie Cleveland Morris and the late Nettie Stokes Morris. He served in the U.S. Marine Reserves for 2 years and served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. He was a member of Rivelon Baptist Church; a Deacon; a member of the Adult II Sunday School Class and was a member of the Rivelon Sanctuary Choir. He was retired from Greenwood Mills. He was a member of the Equality Masonic Lodge. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Barbara Ann Crosby and Lillian McGugan.
SURVIVORS include his wife of 56 years; Dot Edgemon Morris of the home; his children; Mike (Sharon) Morris of St. Matthews; Cindy (Timmy) Boyleston of Orangeburg and Mark (Charlene) Morris of Orangeburg; 1 granddaughter; Kandice Boyleston of Orangeburg; several nieces and nephews and his loving Jack Russell Dog "Taz".
FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE residence; 2870 Windmill Way; Orangeburg and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
