Randy’s life was marked by service, faith, and unwavering commitment to others.
Randall William Stone, affectionately known as “Randy,” passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026. He was born on February 22, 1964, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where his life of dedication, service, and community impact began.
Randy was the son of Marian T. Easterlin and the late Olden Chester Stone. From his early years in Orangeburg, Randy showed a remarkable commitment to education and personal development. He graduated from Wade Hampton Academy and continued his studies at Francis Marion University, where he was a proud member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. These formative years fostered a lifelong devotion to learning, fellowship, and leadership.
A respected professional, Randy served as a Supervisor for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. In this capacity, he made significant contributions to the well-being of individuals and families across the state, exemplifying integrity and empathy in his daily work.
Randy’s dedication extended into his faith and service. He was a devoted member of Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle, where he not only found spiritual fulfillment but also built lasting friendships and connections. Among his many roles, he served as Awana Youth Ministry Game Director and was a longtime club member, supporting the development and mentorship of young people within his community.
Randy’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Stone, and by his brother, Chester Stone, and his wife, Karen. His sisters, Debra Ann Evans and her husband David and Cindy Elaine Brazell and her husband Scott. He is also survived by his uncle, William E. Stone, numerous nieces and nephews, family, and friends who cherished his warmth, wisdom, and humor. Randy’s mother, Marian T. Easterlin, survives him and bears the heavy grief of a son’s loss. He is preceded in death by his father, Olden Chester Stone.
Family, friends, and all whose lives Randy touched are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle, 3440 North Rd, Orangeburg, SC. Following the service, Randy will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2720 Broughton St, Orangeburg, SC. Rev. Thomas Brookshire will be officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Eddy Strickland, Tony Stroman, Michael Evans, Trey Weathers, Jackson Pardue, and Carney Hess.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Greeters at Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle and the members of W & W Hunting Club.
