Raymond Larry Baltzegar

Raymond Larry Baltzegar, 73 of Bamberg, SC passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with  Rev. Fred McDaniel and Pastor  David Caughman officiating.

Pallbearers will be  Jason Creech, Barton Dantzler, Richard Cunningham, Matthew Bailey, Stacy Baltzegar and Gary Bates.

Mr. Raymond was born August 23, 1945 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late William Rufus Baltzegar and the late Mary Etta Metts Baltzegar. He was retired from Bill Gray Insulation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Irene Bramblett Baltzegar.

Survivors include 3 daughters; Mrs. Nick (Mary) Wallen of Bamberg; Tina Creech of Savannah, GA and Susan Bates of Bamberg; 4 grandchildren, Jacob Creech, Justin Bates, Joanna Wallen and Joshua Wallen.2 sisters; Phillis Baltzegar Smoak of Charleston; Barbara Baltzegar Prichard (Paul) of Columbia and a brother Wayne Baltzegar (Vilma) of Columbia and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the residence of Nick and Mary Wallen; 54 Blocker Street, Bamberg and at the funeral home.  Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, November 26, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
