Rebecca “Ann” Robinson

Rebecca “Ann” Robinson,71, of Orangeburg passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.  Rev. Wesley Patrick will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Ann was born on November 25, 1951, in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late Eugene Robinson and the late Mable Stephens Robinson.  She retired from Southern Bell with over 25 years of service as a telephone operator.  Mrs. Ann was a member of Rivelon Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir.  She will be remembered for her selflessness, her gentle spirit and her love for people.  She had no biological children, but she was a mother and grandmother to numerous children over her life-time.  She was not a materialistic person, but she enjoyed shopping and going to the flea market to buy gifts for those she loved.  To know her was to love her.  She will forever be missed.

Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Bobby H. Robinson, Sr.; stepdaughters, Becky Duffer, Bridget Hill; four step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; brother, Mark Robinson; sisters, Connie Proveaux, June Patrick; her fur baby, “Beavis” and numerous additional friends, family and loved ones.
