Reese Pritcher, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2026. He was born on December 3, 1944, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Throughout his eighty-one years, Reese touched countless lives with his quiet strength and steadfast presence. He cherished the bonds of family. Reese’s deep devotion was most evident in his loving marriage to Sandra M. Pritcher, his dedicated wife, who survives him. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and the enduring ties of family.
He will forever be remembered by his son, Maurice Pritcher, by his beloved grandson, Blake Pritcher, to whom he passed on many of his values and joys. Reese’s circle of family also includes his three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Reese carried the memory of his predeceased parents, Adam Scott Pritcher and Bertha Scott Pritcher, who instilled in him the values that defined his character.
A visitation in honor of Reese will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1012 Whitman St SE, Orangeburg, SC 29115. Immediately following, a funeral service will take place at the same location beginning at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and pay their respects. The burial will follow at Scott Family Cemetery, Bayview Street, Holly Hill, SC 29059. Pastor Clinton Crummie will be officiating.
Reese Pritcher’s presence will be deeply missed, but the memory of his steadfast love and generosity will long endure in the hearts of those who loved him.
