Reverend Winnie Binnicker Brickle

Reverend Winnie Binnicker Brickle of Orangeburg, S.C. passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Rocky Face, Ga.

She was born January 27, 1931, in Branchville, S.C. She was the widow of Lonnie Vernon Brickle. They were married on February 15, 1948. He passed away on January 1, 1988.

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Columbia Road Church of God.

The funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Columbia Road Church of God in Orangeburg, with Rev. Keith Vaughn, Rev. Walter Gleaton, and Dr. L. F. Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Active pallbearers will be David Bozard, Don Bozard, Ron Jeffcoat, Ricky Jones, Willie Knight, David Simpson, and Robert Smoak. and Shane Judy

Honorary pallbearers will be James Binnicker, Alonzo Crider, Larry Hughes, Legrand Hughes, Nathan Hughes, Mike Tiller, and members of the Corner Stone Church of God.

Reverend Brickle was a retired Librarian for the Orangeburg District Schools. She served as a Volunteer Chaplain at the Regional Medical Center. She was an Ordained Minister of the Church of God, a member of the Corner Stone Church of God in Orangeburg, S.C., having organized the Church and serving as Pastor from 2000 until she retired in 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hooker and Ollie Virginia Garrick Binnicker, her brothers; Raymond, Horace and James Carlis Binnicker; her sisters, Idelle Binnicker Bozard and Myrtis Binnicker Fogle. She was a blessed woman, greatly loved and respected by family and friends, and those she helped while counseling. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Brickle (Randall) Ertzberger of Rocky Face, GA.; grandson, Philip (Sondra) Ertzberger, and great grandson, Donovan Ertzberger all of Poulsbo, WA; her son; Terry Brickle; granddaughter, Lori Brickle (Shane) Judy, and great grandsons, Steele and Strom Judy; grandson, Dustin Brickle; daughter-in-law- Teresa Brickle all of Moncks Corner, S.C.; her sisters; Virginia Binnicker Hughes of Neeses and Miriam Binnicker of Orangeburg; sister-in-law; Hazel Brickle (Lonnie) Shull of West Columbia, SC; Barbara Brickle Austin of Greensboro, NC and Barbara Sears Brickle Thick of Anderson, SC; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
