Riley Louis Christmas, a devoted family man and respected community member, passed away on May 29, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center after an illness. Born on January 18, 1944, Riley’s life was marked by dedication to both his professional career and his loved ones.
Mr. Christmas served for many years as a supervisor with Ambler Industry, where he earned the respect of colleagues and peers through his commitment and leadership. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was known for his avid passion for golf and fishing, as well as being a die-hard fan of the USC Gamecocks, passions that brought him joy and connection to community throughout his life.
Riley’s proudest accomplishment was his family, whom he cherished deeply. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennie M. Christmas, his children: Denise Christmas and Michelle Craven of Orangeburg; James Davis and Tammy Lee of Neeses; Tonya McLeavy of Livingston; and Jennifer Grainger of Simpsonville. He was also blessed with twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who carry forward his legacy of love and dedication.
In addition to his immediate family, Mr. Christmas is survived by his sister, Bobby Jean Hutto (Ray). He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney W. Christmas and Zelma Thigpen Christmas and brothers, Jimmy Christmas, Durant Christmas, and a sister, Jackie McElven. He also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews, and many additional family members and friends who will remember him for his warmth and generosity.
Visitation will be held on June 2, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1012 Whitman St SE in Orangeburg, SC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2610 Ninety-Six Rd., Neeses, SC, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Riley Louis Christmas’s life was one of steadfast devotion—to his family, his work, and the pursuits he loved. His memory will remain a lasting tribute to a man who valued faith, family, and fellowship.
