Robert A. "Bobby" Gibson, 61 of 9760 Willie Road; Orangeburg died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg .
A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Bethany Baptist Church in Orangeburg with Rev. Chuck Wells officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
He was born June 19, 1952 in Walterboro, SC; the son of the late Ralph Gibson and the late Annie Williams Gibson. He was a former employee of Greenwood Mills and was employed with Department of Public Utilities for 24 years. He was member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; Jane Warren Gibson of Orangeburg; 1 son; D.J. Faircloth of Orangeburg; 2 daughters; Melissa Green of Savannah, GA and Matilda Sue Miles of Ellabell, GA; 2 brothers; James Gibson (Eunice) of Orangeburg and Kenny Gibson (Tammay) of Neeses; 2 sisters; Sarah Hooker of Columbia and Mary Jane Spires of Barnwell; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and a number of nieces and nephews. residence; 9760 Willie Road; Orangeburg and at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
