Robert James Branham

Robert “Bobby” James Branham, 69, of Cordova passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 8, 2022.

A graveside service will be held with military honors at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, 165 Blewer Road, Cordova. Rev. Larry Williams will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.

Mr. Branham was born on October 4, 1952, in Orangeburg S.C.  He was the son of the late Robert “Buck” J. Branham, Sr. and the late Molly J. Branham McCormick.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  Mr. Branham was a graduate of Midlands Technical College and Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College.  He retired from the Methodist Oaks but went back to work driving a school bus for Orangeburg Consolidated Districts 3,4 and 5.  He was an active member at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cordova.  He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Carol A. Wetherington.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, R. Diane Branham; children, Randy Branham (Jaime), Jaymie Fulmer (Michael); grandson, Blake Branham; brother, Darrell M. Branham (Kathy); sister, Joyce Foxworth; brother-in-law, David Wetherington; a number of nieces and nephews and his fur babies, “Rocky,” “Charlie,” and “Flag.”
