Robert Graham Hair

Robert Graham Hair, 60,  of St. Matthews passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the Hospice Center of Charleston after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Elena E. Hair of St. Matthews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robert was born in Fort Motte, S.C. on June 6, 1956 and he grew up in St. Matthews, S.C.  Robert is predeceased by his parents, Fred William Hair, Jr. and Faye Felder Hair.  Robert worked at American Koyo Bearing Company (JTEKT) for 39 years where he made countless lifelong friends. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  Robert was an incredible person and loved spending time with his family and his pets, Molly, Mila, Spoon and Pocahontas.  He enjoyed playing golf and deer hunting.   He also enjoyed gardening and cooking but his passion was simply to spend time with his loved ones.

Survivors include his wife, Elena Hair of the home; sons, Will Hair and Ron Hair; daughter, Mariel Angel Estrella; beloved brothers, Kenneth (Nancy) Hair, George (Julie Beth) Hair, Roy Hair, Lamaar (Jackie) Hair and Bill (Stephanie) Hair; sisters, Gladys Hair and Sylvia Hair and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Regional Medical Center, the Mabry Center for Cancer Care, the Medical University of S.C., the Hollings Cancer Center, the Hospice Center of Charleston for their constant and attentive treatment, Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. for making the arrangements.
