Robert Lee "Bobby" Stokes AGE 72 He resided at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC
He passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro after a short illness.
A Memorial Service will be held at at a later date announced by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
Mr. Stokes born August 13, 1940 in Orangeburg where he was a life time resident. He was the son of the late Thomas H. Stokes and the late Margaret Geiger Stokes. He served in the U.S. Navy; a member of the V.F.W. Post #2779 and a member of the American Legion. He was in the music business with his late brother Thomas "Tom" Stokes and also worked in the insurance business. He was preceded in death by a brother; Thomas "Tom" Stokes.
Survivors include 1 son; Robert Ryan (Jocelynn) Stokes of Landdowne, VA; 1 daughter; Candece Lorainne Stokes and 2 granddaughters; Gracie and Amber; 2 sisters; Martha Stokes Ackerman of Orangeburg and Mary Lynn Stokes Davis of (Bolentown Community), Neeses; 1 brother; Eddie Clarence Stokes of Surfside Beach, SC.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
