Robert Harding Merrick, Sr.

Robert Harding Merrick, Sr., 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.  Details may be obtained by contacting his children.

Mr. Merrick was born on January 6, 1940 in Cambridge, Maryland.  He was the son of the late John C. Merrick, Sr. and the late Virginia Harding Merrick.  He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper. He was retired from Albemarle.  Mr. Merrick was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Maxine Gleaton Merrick and his son, Kenneth Allen Merrick.

Survivors include his children, Robert Merrick, Jr. (April), Lourra Faethe (Tim), Mary Virginia Kibodeaux (Tim), John “Chris” Merrick, Paul Merrick (Jeannette); step-son, Sam Goff (Wanda); a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
