Ronald Eldridge Bussell, 67 of Orangeburg died Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Orangeburg.
Funeral will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 10, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. David Caughman officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Augusta, GA.
He was born November 7, 1946 in Fort Bragg, NC; the son of the late Eldridge Thomas Bussell and the late Myrtis Taylor Bussell. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. He was a 1966 graduate of Georgia University. He was an elementary school teacher. He was employed with Service Printing in Columbia for about 15 years and was a Security Guard for Walmart. He was a referee for some High Schools and some State College Football Games in the Orangeburg area.
Survivors include 1 sister; Pamela Lynn Ayers of Augusta, GA; nephews; James Harlen Ayers, Jerry Harlyn Ayers and Joshua Thomas Ayers all of Augusta, GA and a number of nieces and nephews and his special friends; Bill and Judy Maker of Rowesville, SC.
