Roy Gene Carson, 74 of 110 Joree Drive; Cordova, SC died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Uni-Health Post-Acute Care of Orangeburg

The Casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Livingston United Methodist Church in Livingston with burial in the church cemetery with Rev. Brandon Fulmer officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

Pallbearers will be Charles Rowe, Rob Carson, Steve Carson and Steve Kennedy.

He was born May 16, 1939 in Neeses, SC; the son of the late Grover Carson and the late Leila Jeffcoat Carson. He was a member of Livingston United Methodist Church and was retired from Bunzl Extrusion Plant.

Survivors include his wife; Patricia Bonnett Carson of the home; 1 daughter; Melissa Carson of Charleston; 1 son; Roy Eugene and Eva Carson of Neeses; step-children; Tina Smith of Elloree; Bridgett Hall (Jeff) of Sumter; Michael (Kim) Aultman of Elloree; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grand- children; 2 sisters; Judy (James) Jeffcoat; Janice Carson of Neeses; 3 brothers; William R. "Bill" Carson of Orangeburg; Carroll (Betty) Carson; Grover "G.L." (Sherrie) Carson of Ridge Springs.

Friends may call at the residence and at the funeral home. VISITATION WILL BE HELD 6:00 TO 8:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
