Roy O. Wood, Sr.

Roy O. Wood, Sr., 81, of Orangeburg entered into rest on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Roy was the son of the late William Wood and the late Lula Thomas Wood.  He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and was known for his beautiful woodwork.

He leaves behind two children, Connie Nix (Gus) of Orangeburg, Roy Wood, Jr. (Amy) of Bamberg; five grandchildren, Bobby Still, Jr., Cayce Carson, Dina Nix, Nikki Nix, Hanna Baughman; thirteen great-grandchildren, sisters, Nancy Davis (Murray), Faye Blake both of Barnwell and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Still, his parents, brothers, Charles Wood, Billy Wood, Nathan Wood and a sister, Patsy Fairey.

The family would like to Jolley Acres Healthcare staff for their care, love and compassion for Mr. Roy and his family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
