Samuel Homer Watford, Sr., 75 of

2418 Broughton Street; Orangeburg

died Saturday April 19, 2014 at his residence.

Visitation will be held before the service from 12:30 to 1:45 PM

at the Davis Hall

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 21, 2014

at First Baptist Church in Orangeburg with burial at

Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg with Rev.

Ryan Tucker officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home,

Inc. in Orangeburg.

Pallbearers will be Jon Hair, Eugie Ott, Jimmy Evans, Marion Plumb,

Dodd Stewart and Haigler Bozardt

Honorary pallbearers will be Members of the Elks Lodge; Members of the Masonic

Shibboleth Lodge; Volunteers of the First Baptist Church Soup Kitchen,

Otis Boyd and Bobby Sandel and all the dedicated tam of Doctors and nurses

He was born June 12, 1938 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Lewis

Samuel Watford and the late Annie Mae Bair Watford. He was a member of

First Baptist Church. He was a volunteer for the First Baptist Church Soup Kitchen.

He was retired from Carolina Propane Gas Corp. and was

retired owner and operator of Blue Gas Propane. He started working with propane in 1959.

He was a Mason; a memberof the Shibboleth Lodge; A Shriner and member of the Omar Temple and

was past president of the Edisto Shrine Club; a member of the Elks Lodge #897 in Orangeburg. He

was a member of SCLP Gas Association and the National Propane Gas Association.

Survivors include his wife; Mrs. Cora Fogle Watford of the home; 3 sons; Samuel

Homer Watford, Jr. (Susie); Thomas Wesly Watford and Walter Allen Watford

(Theresa Kinard) all of Orangeburg; 3 grandsons; Samuel “Watty” Homer Watford III,

James Spencer Watford and Thomas Wesly Watford, Jr.; 2 sisters; Mrs. Adrian (Sandra)

Haigler of Orangeburg and Mrs. Jimmy (Linda) Clyburn of Camden; special friends;

Bobby and Jan Garrick; a special niece; Brenda Bradbury and a number of nieces and

Friends may call at the residence; 2418 Broughton Street; Orangeburg and at the

funeral home.

or to the First Baptist Church Soup Kitchen.
