Sandra Garrick Brickle, 81, of Norway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at her residence.

Sandra was born on October 22, 1944, in Norway, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Rubert and Lula Mae Garrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her siblings, Ray, Hilton, Freddie, Alfred, Bonnie, and Ruben.

Sandra is survived by her sisters, Faye Evans (John) and Phyllis Collins; her children, Melissa Davis and Sean Brickle; her grandchildren, Ansley Ripley (Michael), Ryan Davis (Destiny), and Wes Davis; her great-grandson, Robert “RJ” Ripley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandra worked for Utica Tool Company for more than 20 years until its closing. She then continued her career at Heart Pine Lumber and Millworks, where she remained until her retirement.

Family was at the heart of Sandra’s life. She cherished spending time with her family and close friends and was known for hosting the family’s Thanksgiving gathering each year. In her younger years, she was an avid softball player and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds, particularly basketball, baseball, football, and her beloved Carolina Gamecocks.

Diagnosed with polio at a very young age, Sandra never allowed it to define or limit her life. She worked hard, played sports, built a career, and devoted herself to the people she loved. Her strength, determination, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church in Cope, South Carolina.

The family will receive friends and family following the service and at Sandra’s residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church.

Sandra will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
