Sandra Doyle Medley, 78, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in St. Matthews, South Carolina with her family by her side. Born on April 13, 1947, in Sumter, South Carolina, she lived a life rooted in faith, family, and enduring love.
Sandra was the beloved wife of Bernie Medley for 56 years. Together they built a life filled with devotion and shared experiences that spanned decades. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Cassandra Medley Mohler (Jeff) and Joye Medley Onorato (David White), and a proud grandmother to Stephen Mohler (Valerie), David Mohler, Madison Crawford, and Brianna McElroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom L. and Mary Berry Doyle, Sr., whose values and guidance helped shape the woman she became. Sandra is also remembered by her siblings: sisters, Linda King, Frankie McElveen, Blanche Gauld; and brother, Tom L. Doyle, Jr., along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
A faithful member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for over 45 years, Sandra found great joy in her church community. Her dedication to her faith was evident in the way she lived—always with compassion and grace—and she cherished the fellowship of her church family deeply.
Sandra had a passion for cooking that brought people together around the table and created lasting memories for those fortunate enough to enjoy her meals. She also loved crocheting—a quiet pastime that reflected her patient spirit—and spent more than 55 years camping with her husband, embracing the outdoors as a place of connection and peace.
Funeral Service will be held on August 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 727 Waterspring Road. Dr. Kimmett Lott will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the funeral service.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jeffrey Mohler, David White, Chad Lowder, Dale Williams, Ike Kittrell and Jeffrey Williams.
Her legacy is one of steadfast love—as a devoted wife, nurturing mother and grandmother, caring sister, and loyal friend. Sandra’s presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
