Sharon Elizabeth (Turner) Spires

Sharon Elizabeth Turner Spires, 73, of Orangeburg passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, after a brief illness.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Congaree Baptist Church, 101 Pine Ridge Dr, West Columbia.  Rev.  Jimmy Burrows will be officiating.

Survivors include her brothers, Christopher Turner (Janine), Paul Turner (Kathy); nephews, Nicholas and Kyle Turner, Colson Turner; nieces, Erin Turner, Abby Turner, Michael and Eve Donhuo and many additional cousins.

Sharon was born on March 6, 1951, in Toronto, Canada.  She was the daughter of the late Harold A. Turner and the late Freda F. Donhou.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gene Spires.
