Shawn Nicole (Nelson) Thomasson

Shawn Nicole Nelson Thomasson, 43, of Rowesville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Shawn was born on May 15, 1979, in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late Anthony W. Nelson and Robin Till Bishop.  Her life was her grandchildren.  She loved being a “May May.”  She enjoyed taking her grandchildren on trips to the Edisto Gardens.  She was preceded in death by her son, H. Jordan Crosby, and her father, Anthony W. Nelson.

Survivors include her son, Austin Smoak (Alexis); grandchildren, Harper, Nolan, Ryleigh, Ember-Rayne and Scarlett Smoak; mother, Robin T. Bishop; step-father, George Bishop; sister, Amy Bishop; brothers, Jeremy Nelson, Stacy Nelson; nieces, Graycn Bishop, Kaylin Taylor; nephew, Brandon Nelson; special friend, Erica and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and additional friends.
