Shirley A. Bennett, 76 of 260 Bridge Street, Branchville, S.C. died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC.
Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, before the service at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2013 Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg
Mrs. Bennett was born July 4, 1937 in Orangeburg County; daughter of the late Herbert Lever Axson and the late Carrie Adele Dantzler Axson. She was a member of the Branchville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert L. Axson, Jr. and two sisters; Carrie Lou Helmby and Barbara Wolfe.
Survivors include her husband Eugene E. "Gene" Bennett, Jr. of Branchville; one son, Michael and Cheryl Shuler of Branchville and Anderson; one brother; George Herbert and Edith Axson of St. George; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. before the service.
