Stephen Odell Smoak 69 of Orangeburg died Friday, April 15, 2016 at his residence
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg with Rev. Ken Hay officiating.
He was born January 22, 1947 in Orangeburg, SC; the son of the late Benjamin Odell Smoak, Jr. and the late Charlotte Funderburk Smoak. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from AT & T as a manager. He loved playing golf with his family and was an avid Clemson Fan. He was preceded in death by a son; the late Dennis O. Smoak.
SURVIVORS include his wife; Alison Godwin Smoak of the home; 2 sons; Jeffrey David (Tammy) Smoak of Belmont, NC and Christopher S. (Eli) Smoak of Hinesville, GA; 1 grandson; Stetson Smoak of Belmont, NC; 2 sisters; Patricia (Harry) Cordova of Hernando Beach, FL and Norma Jean Burns of Orangeburg; a brother; Charles Roland Smoak of Orangeburg; and Stephens Mother-in-law; Bettye H. Godwin of Orangeburg.
