Stokes M Hughes, Jr.

Stokes M. Hughes, 75 of Orangeburg passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at CM Tucker Nursing Home in Columbia, SC.

A Memorial Service will be held at  2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church with burial in Norway Cemetery.  Rev. Anthony Hughes and Rev. Phillip Proveaux will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. before the service at New Hope Baptist Church.

Mr. Hughes was born March 7, 1942 in Orangeburg County, SC; the son of the late Stokes M. Hughes, Sr. and the late Frances Garrick Hughes. He served in the United States Air Force.  He was the owner and operator of Crossroads Country Restaurant

Survivors include his wife, Gale Ann Aultman Hughes of the home; 1 daughter, Kris Fairey of Norway and 1 son; Kevin Hughes of Norway; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 1 step-son, Christopher Sharpe, 2 step grandchildren; sister,  Kathleen Allen of Rock Hill; brother, Tillman Hughes of Wisconsin and his Fur-Baby '"Bailey".

Friends may call at the residence in Laurel Hill Subdivision in Orangeburg.
