Suzanne Kibler Smith

Suzanne Kibler Smith, 71, of Bowman, South Carolina died June 18, 2014 at Pruitt Health of Orangeburg. The funeral will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Bowman First Baptist Church, Bowman, SC with burial at Bowman Memorial Cemetery, Bowman, SC with the Reverend Tommy Thurston officiating.

Pallbearers will be the old and new deacons of Bowman First Baptist Church.

Suzanne Kibler Smith of Bowman, SC was born November 3, 1942 in Orangeburg, SC. She was the daughter of the late A.Z. Smith and the late Esther Kibler Smith. Ms. Smith taught school in the Orangeburg District Five for over 20 years. She graduated from Bowman High School in 1961, from Limestone College in 1965 and received her Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Georgia. Ms. Smith was a member of Bowman First Baptist Church for many years where she was the organist. She was be remembered as a kind and giving person.

Survivors include a sister, June S. Rownd of Myrtle Beach, SC; two nephews, A.J. Rownd and Josh Rownd both of Myrtle Beach, SC.

Friends may call at the home of Benjy and Tweetie Smith, 6412 Charleston Hwy., Bowman, SC or at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. Orangeburg, SC.

Visitation will be held form 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., Orangeburg, SC.
