Sylvia Jean (Sanford) Herron

Sylvia Jean Sanford Herron, 72, passes away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg.  Richard Laber will be officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.

Mrs. Herron was born on July 21, 1945  in Orangeburg.  She was the daughter of the late William Bunyun Sanford and the late Leoma Harley Sanford.  She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Arnold Sanford, William Sanford, Jr., Clyde Joe Sanford, James “Jimmy” Walter Sanford, Leroy “Spanky” Sanford, Nettie Rae Sanford Tobias and Brenda Lee Sanford Morris.

Survivors include her husband, George W. Herron of Cordova; daughters, Wendy Griffis of Cordova, Angelique Grace (Alan) of Norman Park, GA; son, Adam Herron (Katia) of California; grandchildren, Jason Herron, Rachael Griffis, David Grace, Zoe Grace, Jonathan (Grace) Herron, Stephen Herron (Jessica Tripp), Katherine Jean Bredy (David); four great-grandchildren and a sister, Shirley Ann Sanford Crosby Hammond of Columbia and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Agape Bible study group, Richard and Susan Laber, Kim Johnson and Esther Axson for their love and support.
