Sylvia Diane Wood, departed from this world on December 1, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on November 19, 1956, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Sylvia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Russel Wood and Mell Lois Axson Wood; her brother, Bobby Wood, Sr.; and her stepmother, Vera Wood.

She leaves behind sons: Harold O. Fanning II of Orangeburg; Howard O. Fanning of Bamberg; and Terry R. Tucker Jr. of Orangeburg. Her grandchildren; Suzanne Ulichnie, Hannah Fanning, Harold (Ryan) Fanning III, Destiny Fanning, Howard Fanning II, Hailey Fanning, Tatyana Spires, Trinity Fanning, and Hayden Fanning. In addition, she had 7 great-grandchildren.

Sylvia is also survived by her sisters, Betty Sanders (Willie), Shirley Payton (Ken), Cathy Lovern (Robert), and Dale Sanders (Dean).

Funeral Service held at Springtown Baptist Church, 6249 Hadwin Road, Bamberg, SC 29003, on December 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Springtown Baptist Church Cemetery, beside her mother Mell Lois Axson Wood.
