Telly L. Mushrush

Telly L. Mushrush, 91, of Summerville passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, after surrounded by his family.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary St, Beaufort.

Mr. Mushrush was born on June 1, 1931, in Illinois.  He was the son of the late Valmore Mushrush and the late Dorthea Wright Mushrush.  He joined the United States Navy and served his country in the Korean War.  He later retired from the United States Air Force Reserves.  He developed a love of horses at a very young age.  He was a true farmer at heart.  He loved the outdoors and was able to fix just about anything by himself.  He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Cathy Prine and a grandson, Gene A. Mushrush.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Norma Poland Mushrush of the home; daughters, Shelley Hutchinson (Eric) of Columbia, Lynn Dyer of Summerville; sons, Guy Mushrush of Moncks Corner, Kim Alan Mushrush (Charity) of GA; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Janette Linder (Paul) of IL; and a brother, Bill Mushrush (Vi) of IL.
