Teresa Ann (Judy) Nix

Mrs. Teresa Ann Judy Nix, 62, of Bowman, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025 with her family by her side.

Born on May 22, 1963, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Teresa was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Herbert and Wilma Rae Nettles Judy. She built a life rooted in love, faith, and family—a life that touched many and left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Teresa shared 42 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ronnie Nix. Together they raised two children: Cassie Fox of Bowman and Brandon Nix of Bowman. Her greatest joy came from being “Nana” to her granddaughters, Gracelynn Fox and Paisley Fox, as well as her cherished “bonus” granddaughter, Bailey Fogle. Teresa found immense happiness in watching them grow and especially loved cheering them on at their sporting events.

She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Melinda Weatherford (Pete) and Mike Judy; nephews, Chad Newsome and Holden Judy; nieces, Tiffany Hitzler and Nikki Griffin; and a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A faithful member of Bowman First Baptist Church, Teresa’s spiritual life was an important part of who she was. Her church community was a source of strength and fellowship throughout her life.

Teresa had a vibrant personality and a heart full of warmth. She loved shopping trips that often turned into adventures, writing poetry that captured her thoughts and emotions, enjoying outings with her siblings that created treasured memories, relaxing at the beach where she found peace in the sound of the waves, and celebrating holidays with unmatched enthusiasm—each one made special by her thoughtful touches.

Above all else, Teresa embraced her role as a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and sister with grace and joy. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and her legacy will live on through the lives she nurtured.

Pallbearers will include Chad Newsome, Holden Judy, Kanyon Hitzler, Trenton Carson, Jacob Griffin, and Trey Atkinson.

Funeral services to honor Teresa’s life will be held on June 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Bowman First Baptist Church, 6605 Charleston Highway. Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.  Burial will follow at Bowman Memorial Cemetery.  Rev. Steve Scott and Pastor Stan Wilson will be officiating.
