Terry Wayne "Sarge" McCormick, 64, of Orangeburg, S.C. died Friday January 22, 2015 at the Agape Hospice House in Columbia.

***the casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service***

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Shane Stutzman, Rev. David Downer, and Rev. Jim Parnell officiating. Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 26, 2015 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia.

Pallbearers will be the National Guard Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews

Mr. McCormick was born May 15, 1950 in Orangeburg a son of the late John Bunyan McCormick and the late Ruby Barrs McCormick. He was in the U. S. Army and the South Carolina National Guard. He served in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star .He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, the V F W, the Elks, assistant Scout Master Boy Scout Troop #45, former assistant Scout master for Boy Scout Troop #98. He was an avid deer hunter and outdoorsman. He was preceded in death by two brothers; John Bunyan McCormick, Jr. and Edward McCormick.

Survivors include his wife; Vicki McClure McCormick of Orangeburg; children; Tyson Wayne McCormick and Scott Alexander Hendrix both of Charleston, Jaime McCormick (Guy) Moorer of Cope and Timothy William McCormick of Fletcher, N.C.; two grandchildren; Chandler Moorer and Chloe Moorer both of Cope; one brother; Nevile (Ginger) McCormick of Orangeburg.

Friends may call the residence and Thompson Funeral Home. VISITATION will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday January 24, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.
