Theresa M. Oakley

Theresa M. Oakley, 87, of Fair Play, S.C. formerly of Orangeburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Oakley was born in Ludlow, MA.  She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Noella Smith.  She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed many things, but her family was her life.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Alan Oakley.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Rutland (Wayne McJunkin); grandson, Ryan Rutland; step-grandchildren, Gerald “Bubba” Logan; Katie and Austin Payne, Samantha McJunkin; six step-great grandchildren; cousin, Judith Bewsee; two half-brothers; a half-sister; her beloved fur baby, “Fred” and an additional number of family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1012 Whitman Street, Orangeburg.
