Mr. Thomas D. “Tommy” Wolfe III, age 60, passed away on July 9, 2025, in Cordova, South Carolina surrounded by his family. Born on July 24, 1964, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, he was a lifelong resident of the state and a proud outdoorsman who found joy in nature and the open road.
A 1982 graduate of Edisto High School, Tommy carried with him the values of hard work and loyalty throughout his life. He was known for his love of hunting and his passion for riding his Street Glide Harley Davidson—two pursuits that brought him both peace and exhilaration. Whether tracking game through the woods or cruising down country roads, Tommy embraced the freedom and connection to nature that these hobbies offered.
Tommy shared twelve years of marriage with his wife, Cynthia “Cindi” Wolfe. Together they built a life filled with family and shared experiences. He was a devoted father to his son, Trenton Wolfe (Amber), and stepfather to Sable Des Islets (John) and Logan Banks. His pride extended to his grandson Trevor Wolfe, whose presence brought him great joy.
He is also remembered by his mother, Shelby Wolfe; sisters Sheryl Dunning and Sandy DuBose (Wylie); brothers Timmy Wolfe (Rebecca) and Teddy Wolfe (April); along with 16 nieces and nephews and an extended family that includes 36 great-nieces and great-nephews. His circle of loved ones also included many additional family members and friends who will deeply miss his presence.
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, Thomas D. Wolfe Jr.; brother-in-law Robert Dunning; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Eloise Wolfe Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivey and Adelle Kinsey.
A funeral service honoring Tommy’s life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Ebenezer Baptist Church located at 3144 Cordova Road, Cordova, South Carolina. Rev. Brian Self will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Blewer Road.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2025prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers that are honored to serve are Phillip Griffin, Mark Walling, Anthony Felder, Rodney Koon, Kevin Proveaux and Steven Gardner.
